Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
14th December 2005
Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen
Wind Direction: WNW
Wind Stength: 10-18mph
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: A bit chilly
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Was at work looking at the trees and grass whipping about in the wind and thought "sod it, if I go now, I'll catch the tide", so I rushed home to get my kit (about 15 miles). The wind was hovering around the 12 to 15 mph mark, so I risked it and got a half decent session in for an hour and was planing 90% of the time on my big kit, with a few bigger gusts around to really crank up the speed. Before long, however, the wind started to die. Packed up quickly, and got back to work smelling only slightly of the sea, and didn't even need to take the half day off I thought I was going to as it was "more or less" in my lunch hour. This means that if tomorrow actually does what the wind forecasts suggest, I'll be able to take the half day off then instead, and the kit is already packed up in the car to save time. Result!!
